Jessica Phillips 2020 Scholarship winner

Jessica Philips, CA Human Services

Jessica and CA Human Services, work with people with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families to help them thrive. But we also focus on reimagining human services systems.

What the Sandler Scholarship has meant for Jessica and CA Human Services:

  • More confident: We've always had an entrepreneurial spirit but now my team has the mindset and processes we need to build our pipelines to stay financially sustainable. This ensures we can keep working to strengthen services for Virginians with autism and developmental disabilities until our mission's accomplished.
  • More efficient: We've learned valuable lessons about how to quickly get to a "yes" or "no". This means we can be better stewards of our limited resources and spend more time on our mission.
  • More connected: The connections and relationships I've developed through Sandler (despite a global pandemic) have helped me professionally and personally. Robin and Monica modeled the way for how to leverage technology to stay connected, stay resilient and keep growing!
